Atelier

To allow the exploration of the 100 languages, Reggio Emilia schools have a dedicated space where children and educators can explore creativity, called atelier.

In the atelier, concepts are explored in depth, materials are explored, experiments are carried out… in a space where time can be slowed down, allowing you to follow the internal time of the child who will have new questions and new stimuli. Every year the theme of the atelier can change according to the interests of the class. Some subjects will always be touched during the year. This is how the atelier of light, the atelier of space, the atelier of food are born.

Atelier of Light

ATELIER OF LIGHT In this space we offer children contexts of light which, in the encounter with different materials, create projections of textures, shadow areas, beams of color, giving life to unusual situations, magical because they are the result of transformations. The overhead projector, the projector, the ray of light become objects and provocations for children that stimulate attention, curiosity and knowledge. We have chosen to combine recycled material with light, carefully selected and chosen specifically to create an open dialogue with light. In this way, constructive environments can be created capable of giving space and time to exploration, discovery and learning.
