We are currently open Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with the following exceptions:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Martin Luther King Day (Third Monday in January).
  • Washington’s Day (Third Monday in February).  
  •  April 3d -Professional Development Day for teachers (Following BUSD calendar)
  • Memorial Day (Last Monday in May).
  • Juneteenth National Day
  • Independence Day – 4th of July
  • Summer break (usually the Second and Third weeks of July)
  • Labor Day (First Monday in September).
  • Indigenous Peoples’ Day (Second Monday in October).
  • Veteran’s Day (November 11).
  • Halloween (closed at 4:30pm)
  • Thanksgiving Day (Fourth Thursday in November).
  • Day after Thanksgiving (Black Friday)
  • Christmas Day
  • Third and Fourth weeks of December (Winter Break)

Note: We align with BUSD academic calendar, so the Winter Break period and the Spring Development day for Teachers may differ. Please check with the Office.

Calendar

Our days are designed to follow the children’s natural rhythms, curiosity, and interests while maintaining a well organized structure.

  • Morning Arrival & Welcome – Children are greeted and invited to explore open classroom materials.

  • Morning Meeting – Gathering to share ideas, plan the day, and discuss ongoing projects.

  • Project Work & Learning Centers – Small-group explorations based on children’s interests and curriculum activities.

  • Outdoor Play – Time for movement, games, exploration, and connection with nature.

  • Breakfast, Lunch & Snack – Shared mealtimes that encourage community and conversation.

  • Rest or Quiet Time – Opportunity for rest or calm, independent activities.

  • Afternoon Exploration – Continued project work, art, or outdoor play.

  • Closing Circle & Dismissal – Reflecting on the day and preparing to go home.

Please note: Times and activities may vary. For the most current daily schedule for your child’s age group, please reach out to the preschool office.

Hours & Daily Routines

 

Full Time – 5 Days Per Week (8:00am – 5:00pm)

Infant (0 to 24 months) Monthly – $2,800

Toddler (24 months – 36 months) – Monthly – $2,475

Preschooler (3 to 5 years) Monthly – $2,475

Afterschool – Italian or Spanish Full Immersion (1:30pm – 5:00pm) 

 School age  K and 1st Grade – Monthly – $800 (if space is available)

Financial Assistance:

We proudly collaborate with CA State and Alameda County agencies and FB currently reserves up to 2 spaces for families that qualify with subsidy programs, such as Bananas, Child Care Links, 4Cs of Alameda, First 5, Davis street, etc…
